3M™ 983 Emergency Vehicle Reflective Striping Tape is a premium-grade, robust tape designed to enhance the visibility and safety of emergency vehicles and any other compatible surface that needs enhanced visibility. 983 utilizes 3M’s advanced micro-prismatic technology to ensure superior reflectivity, promoting visibility in low-light conditions. This tape is classified as Diamond Grade™ material.

To apply, wash the desired area and allow it to dry. Before installation, you can wipe the area down with an alcohol-water mixture. If there are any lights, emblems, or other obstacles in the way, remove them and reinstall later. Peel the backing off the reflective tape and apply. Do not overlap the tape when splicing. Instead, butt the pieces up against each other. Press on with a soft cloth or squeegee. When installing around a bollard or other simple curve surface, wrap the tape around and end as close to the beginning as possible. To extend the life of the tape, apply a clear laminate to the edges or to the entire area. (this is optional)
